Net working
By Frank Bolaji Irawo
Working the net
Made up of those
Whom I have met
Some make up their net
From whom I have never met
Time to work that net
To strengthen those ties
And Bridge these links
With value that breathes
Flowing back and forth
Making each one strong
Won't stay the same for long
My network carrying me along
Value your interconnection with other people and make the most of the people you encounter to forge meaningful relationships.
There is a certain amount of transience in your network. Some people will move on and others will join.
When you remove upfront expectations from your connections, it leaves value to flow organically in both directions and avoids contamination of the space between them.
How might you reframe networking to make it fun for you?
Blame game
By Frank Bolaji Irawo
It's all gone wrong
Someone must pay
So you blame
You point the finger
Four to you
And one to the accused
How easily you hand to another
Your power of change
You impotent of the power
To change another
All for the current pleasure
Of playing the blame game
Forever and a day
Our mind uses blame to protect us from the prospect of experiencing pain which is there to reveal to us things we may be missing that require adjusting.
Blame can be aimed at others or yourself and if taken onboard can create shame which is neither restorative nor helpful.
The situation that generated the blame response has shown up to allow us to become aware of something we have deemed too shameful to own and our mind wants to deflect outward.
The most helpful response is to catch ourselves involved in the blame game and to ask what this has to teach me about myself, others and life in general.
The gift in the opportunity is to diffuse the shame by making peace with what is and give ourselves the grace to be humanly imperfect and allow others to be likewise.
Reflecting on the last time you reached for blame, what lesson(s) did the situation hold for you?
Sour memories
By Frank Bolaji Irawo
We used to be tight
Spending time together
That felt just right
Exchanging chatter
Part of each other's stories
Those are our memories
I ruminating on how
Things should be
Disappointed by
Our present apathy
That can't change
The beauty sealed
In those moments in
History
Save the mind
And its comparisons
The sure way to
Sour memories
It is helpful to recognise that relationships go through phases and it is okay to grieve when we lose contact but not negate the good times but honour and be grateful for it
Keeping the right attitude towards those memories opens the door to relationships being rekindled
Making peace with where a relationship is, rather than being trapped in how you believe it should be creates the opportunity to make new connections as well as make the most of the new phase of the relationship
If any relationship comes to mind, how might you reframe how you see it now?
Natural beauty
By Frank Bolaji Irawo
Nature in bloom
Divine painting
Beauty calling
Out to beauty
It knows itself
And acknowledges it
Through our many senses.
There is a season for things to bloom and grab our attention, while at other times we don't notice much, but all the while it is responding to the wisdom of nature.
We are all unique manifestations of nature's bloom and experience different seasons of our lives but in our essence, we are perfectly beautiful in our way.
As part of our true essence, we are part of the one universal nature.
What is blooming in your life and what is dying out?
As a TransFLOWmation coach, I help entrepreneurs and business leaders remove mental blockers, unleash dormant creative energy and fearless innovation, and rejuvenate their business relationships to ignite and increase productivity.
TransFLOWmation is based on the following premise: We have infinite potential residing within
For us to maximise that potential, we need to let it FLOW from within aligned and unhindered.
This is achieved using a suite of services based on the following high-level outline of the 4 Pillars of Professional TransFLOWmation.
These four pillars are the key to experiencing it.
Clear: Remove the mental blockages stopping you from recognising your potential
Connect: Connect to and align with your true purpose
Collaborate: Work with the universe and those it puts into your life
Create: Start to fulfil your potential by taking inspired action
It is a 4-stage/16-module instructional guide process that can be highly customized to meet personal needs to get the universe “flowing” in your favour, maximising your professional potential.
