Dear black people

You are ME

So it seems

You are of ME

In the Minority

Cause of your Ethnicity

Cause you are BLACK

By virtue of your complexion?

Lacking superior acumen?

Almost always aggressive?

Constantly underachieving?

Kept from the best opportunities

Dear white people

You are ME too

So it seems

You are of ME

In the Majority

Cause of your Ethnicity

Cause you are WHITE

White really your true complexion?

Have you superior acumen, really?

I ponder who is the true aggressor?

Taking credit for all progress

Enjoying the best opportunities

Dear all people

We are all ME

Makes sense to ME

We are of ME

Multiple Ethnicities

Cause we all share earth's amenities

Cause we are neither all BLACK or WHITE

If black didn't get such a bad rap

Labeled the black sheep

Of the human family

The solution to living in harmony

Might lie in all humanity

Being more BLACK

Being aware of our part in making this home

Looking to the equidistance of all our differences

Ascending Racism to focus on our shared Humanity

Connecting to each other and learning from what makes us all unique

Keeping it real by embracing honest vulnerability to be seen, heard, and belong
