Building Blocks
By Frank Bolaji Irawo
My tools
My blocks
That build the frame
That fills them in
The ones I choose
The ones not used
Well-worn or so new

Faithfully they try
To reflect what lies within
The stories they tell
Sometimes enlighten
Sometimes confuse
For few can agree
Whose well-worn path
The trail leads
The one who lays it
Or one who treads it
The picture, the painting
The canvas, the frame
All constructed
From these words I use
