I Can Fly

I Can Fly

By Frank Bolaji Irawo

I can fly but you can't tell

Because I hid my wings

I chose to walk instead

Then I would not stand out

So I would cause no upset

To those that wished they could

I can fly, I swear it's true

Loved to spread my wings

Reach all the way up high

Though many loved the sight

I cared not to attract upset

From those that wished they could

I can fly, and now I will

Spread out my wings from its hiding place

To show them what's really possible

Inspire them to use all their gifts

Caring not for those upset

They can fly too

If they unhide their wings
