Fixing the world

Cause it all looked broken

Tools at the ready

For bashing it all into shape

So surprised my efforts

Didn't meet with gratitude and celebration

Assuming they had not realised

What great quest I was undertaking

Some even dared suggest

I was leaving things worse off

Than I found them

A notion so beyond

My comprehension

That was of course

Until I had the good fortune

To meet a kind and wise soul

Who pointed out

My glasses were broken
