Anywhere but Here, Any time But Now
The mind is often preoccupied with worry and anxiety about the future. Regret, judgement, and shame about the past. This floods our awareness and distracts us from experiencing the pure unfolding of the present moment. Now is real; everything else is a fabrication of the mind. There is merit in learning from the past and planning for the future and then it is time to move on. The acid test for your thoughts is a measure of how much of it is about this moment.

Reboot And Become Consciously Present
If your voice of the mind is anything like mine, then it is a rarity to experience inner peace where clarity and contentment dominate your consciousness. There are no real problems apart from your thinking that makes it so. Become aware of your breath to bring you into the present moment. You cannot think of two things at the same time, so while you are focused on your breathing your conscious awareness is not being flooded by your mind.

Here and Now
By Frank Bolaji Irawo
.....
To mind comes the stories often told
Sinking in the sea of endless regrets
Wishing for the gift to turn back time
To have it all to do over again...
.....
Living in never-ending hope
For a future so much brighter than this
In wistful expectation of when that boat comes in
When the "perfect life" checklist is complete...
.....
Yesterday living vicariously on borrowed time
In the power of ever fading memories
Tomorrow a figment of vivid imaginations
Rarely delivering on the hype it builds
Renting space in advance of its time
Today laid waste to the sands of time
Never fully experiencing the here and now...
.....
